Meet the Staff

Our Day Care Director, Miss Rachel’s passion for kids and teaching comes from the love and care in raising her own daughters. Miss Rachel always has had a passion for creativity and spent much time in her 20’s doing creative activities and learning skills with her nieces. Now a director, Miss Rachel loves seeing her staff and students all grow together and discover their passions through the daycare. If she is not at work you can find Miss Rachel at the gym or spending time with her daughters at the beach! Manahawkin is her home and she is happy to be able to be a part of her local community by being a bridge from the surrounding neighborhoods to the church.

A mom of 9 kids, Mrs. Val always enjoys planning parties in her home because she loves bringing people together and making them feel a part of her already huge family. She is a teacher because she believes that kid’s matter! She appreciates the fun environment and care her children receive and wants to create the same experience for others. She loves that she can teach in the same facility where her family attends church because it feels like home. She enjoys strong coffee, chocolate and planning big parties – “the bigger the challenge, the better for me!”

From Manahawkin, Mrs. Lisa has had a passion for teaching children since a young age because of the impact her teachers had on her when she was a child. Mrs. Lisa has had previous experience working in child care and re-discovered her passions with teaching after discovering Main Street Day Care (how sweet!). Mrs. Lisa loves all things Disney and visits every year with her family, including her daughter who she loves very much!

Miss Donna, a seasoned caregiver with four grown kids and a decade of nanny experience, loves her time at the daycare. She enjoys watching the kids grow, adding prayer and fun to Children’s Church songs. Blessed to care for many church kids, especially those with out-of-state grandparents, Miss Donna values weekend moments. A beach and boating fan, she loves sharing those experiences. When beach plans fall through, she indulges in her passion for baking. Miss Donna takes joy in sharing kids' growth with parents and offering encouragement.

Miss Sheldonna has many years of experience with infants in the daycare setting and is a mother to six children of her own! She brings so much love and joy into the classroom and is adored by her students.

Miss Jaime has been in childcare for 25 years and has 4 children from toddler to tweens. Miss Jamie loves  shopping!

Miss Carla loves teaching the children and the excitement that they bring to her life. She as 10 plus experience in the public school system as well as daycare. Miss Carla loves her daughter, her son, and all things Snoopy!

Miss Julia is the lead teacher of our Turtle room ages 18 months - 2 year old. She has several years experience teaching children and particularly loves this age of little ones. Miss Julia also loves theater, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
